The World Gold Council invites fashion/trade editors to review the exclusive Gold Panel, a showcase for new, innovative gold jewelry designs available for sale from a large selection of jewelry manufacturers and designers, every April. Editors rank each piece on uniqueness, trendiness and beauty. Pieces with the highest score are included in the World Gold Council Jewelry Catalog ('Look Book') for the year, which debuts at JCK Las Vegas in May. The Look Book is distributed to retailers, stylists, and the press.
Three of my pieces in 'Jali' have been chosen for the 2012 World Gold Council Look Book as 'editor favorites'. picture below
'Jali' - pierced, geometric, decorative stone screens in Mughal architecture that shield nobility/women from the public. Designed as a tribute to my mother who passed away in March, after a lifetime spent improving the lives of impoverished women. A portion of sales will be donated to charities with the same objective.
